Built in 1980, followed by two refurbishments in 1992 and 2002, and recently the lobby area in 2023, the Aon Centre offers 21 levels of office space, an onsite childcare facility providing convenience for working parents, and two levels of prime parking space right on the corner of Custom Street West and Lower Albert Street.
Project Requirements
The client required a roofing solution which could be applied over the existing asphalt substrate, without a significant wait time due to the deteriorating roof.
Challenges
The roof had a lot of complex details such as the parapet edge, plant area & air conditioning units present. The system would require low odour emission to be installed in conjunction with management of the building’s air conditioning system.

A liquid applied membrane was the solution - SikaRoof® i-Cure-22. It is a low odour, fast curing, liquid applied membrane. It is ideal for roofs with complex details and hard to reach roof penetrations, drains, roof lights and complex geometry. This allowed easy access and a seamless finish.
