Built for the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, the West Wave Pool and Leisure Centre has something for everyone. With over 1 million visitors in a year and multiple areas for children, toddlers, and adults to relax, play and swim there is endless hours of fun.
Challenges
- 600 lineal meters of joint seals were deteriorating on the bottom of the pool.
- Previous maintenance of these joints meant underwater divers would apply joint sealant to the joints with the pool still full of water. As this was a short-term solution and the sealant was not lasting, the client knew a long term solution needed to be sought.
