Napier Health Centre

Built in the 1990s, this project was intended to be a medical hub for Napier City residents. Several design aspects were incorporated to give it a modern look and feel. The curved plywood roof was a key component of the design but water ingress had been a long term problem.

Project Requirements

A SikaRoof® MTC solution was agreed upon after applications on other parts of the building had proved successful. Key advantages included SikaRoof® MTC’s fast cure, unique ability to conform to the unusual shape, ease of application and its proven durability.

Challenges

  • Very deep roof gutters, steep curves, decorative battens over the sheet joints, and a 24 hour working medical facility below
