Americold is one of the world’s largest owners and operators of temperature-controlled infrastructure. It owns and operates 250 temperature-controlled warehouses all around the world and there are six facilities in NZ. Americold’s new Manukau storage facility required a solution for Kingspan K-Deck insulated roof panels, and a complete waterproof solution for the new plant room roof.
Project Requirements
Provide a suitable waterproofing sheet membrane roofing solution for the 10,000m2 new storage facility roof and the 800m2 roof on the new plant room.
Challenges
- A solution that was suitable and could cover 10,000m2 of cold storage roof, applied in sections of 2000m2 at a time.
- Due to limited crane access to the roof, product would need to be transferred in bulk and be stored on the existing roof top while waiting to be installed
