Application
Mixing Ratio
5.0 - 5.2 litres of cool, clean water per 20 kg bag.
Layer Thickness
Minimum 3 mm / maximum 15 mm
20 kg bag:
15mm min. / 30mm max., with approx. 30% by weight addition of 0.7 to 1.2 or 1.0 - 2.0mm of quartz sand per bag. (i.e. 6 kg per 20 kg bag.)
Ambient Air Temperature
Minimum +10°C / maximum +25°C
Substrate Temperature
Minimum +10°C / maximum +25°C
For increased surface strength and good adhesive strengths - also with aqueous adhesives - it is recommended to work at air and substrate temperatures between +15°C and +25°C.
In cold weather tempering of Sika® Level-315 F is recommended.
Pot Life
~ 30 minutes at +23°C and 50 % r.h.
Higher temperatures accelerate setting, lower temperatures reduce setting of the product.
Waiting Time / Overcoating
At +23°C and 50 % r.h. | |
Walkable after | ~ 3 hours (without load) |
Ready for covering with tiles | ~ 4 - 6 hours |
Ready for covering with parquet with 3 mm thickness | ~ 24 hours |
Prior to application of Sika® Level-315 F, ensure that the maximum moisture content for the subsequent coating is achieved. (See the corresponding standards and information sheet of the subsequent coatings or adhesives).
Consumption
~ 1.6 kg mortar powder/m²/mm layer thickness
MIXING
When mixing manually, place 5.0 - 5.2 litres of cool, clean water in a suitable sized mixing vessel. Add a full bag (20 kg) of Sika® Level-315 F powder slowly to the water, mixing continuously to achieve a homogeneous and lump-free mix (at least 3 minutes). After mixing thoroughly, leave the material to stand in the container for two or three minutes until the majority of air bubbles have dispersed.
APPLICATION
Pour Sika® Level-315 F onto the floor and smooth with a trowel to the desired layer thickness. To improve floating and deaeration use a swab bar at a higher layer thicknesses.
Important!
- Avoid rapid drying.
- Protect from direct sunlight and drafts.
- Higher temperatures of the powder and the mixing water accelerate the setting of Sika® Level-315 F. Lower temperatures delay setting.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with water. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
