Sika® EVA Backing Strip

Semi-rigid closed cell cross linked construction foam

Sika® EVA Backing Strip is a semi-rigid closed cell cross linked construction foam. It is available in sheet form or as a rectangular cross sectional strip in a density of 105 kg/m3.

Usage

Sika® EVA Backing Strip is designed as a back up support material for surface seals in load bearing joints, e.g. pavements, water retaining/excluding structures, industrial floors and bridge deck joints. Other uses include as a bedding seal under precast concrete panels, as a grout dam to prevent grout loss when joining precast concrete components and as a physical barrier to prevent the ingress of water, dirt and dust.

Shelf Life

Sika® EVA Backing Strip has an indefinite shelf life when stored in accordance with stated conditions.

Storage Conditions

Store in original, unopened packaging in cool, dry conditions, out of direct sunlight.
